Observation Studies

The Depression Clinical Research Program has several projects currently recruiting that track symptoms and investigate different features of depression. These studies do not provide treatment as part of participation, but enrolling in an observation study at the DCRP will give participants the opportunity to be informed of future projects they might be interested in while contributing to mental health research. All interested participants will be assessed to determine eligibility prior to enrollment. If you are interested in learning more about our studies but aren't sure which one(s) you might be eligible for, reach out to the DCRP team and we can help determine what projects you might be best suited to.

ENABLE

ENABLE is a platform designed to create a diverse, real-world participant pool of people affected by depression that benefits both researchers and participants. This nationwide project is recruiting people 16 and above who have experienced depression at any point in their lives. Click for more information.

What factors can affect whether people with depression or bipolar disorder get better and stay well, and what role does the presence of anxiety have in those outcomes? This project is recruiting adults that are living with depression or bipolar disorder. Click for more information.

VMP

Speech can provide important information about how a person is feeling. What features of speech might be able to be used to improve the diagnosis and assessment of depression in a clinical environment? This project is recruiting people of all backgrounds ages 16 and above. Click for more information.

Once someone is receiving treatment for depression, how can we maximize their patient's chances of recovery? Can certain types of increased feedback and communication between a clinician and a patient result in better treatment outcomes? This project is recruiting adults receiving clinical treatment for depression. Click for more information.
